Blake Shelton is known to play a prank or two but the fact his recent album only has six out of the standard 10 (or so) tracks is no joke. The six-pak album format is sort of a test run for getting new music out to the fans faster. Avoiding the typical year or so turnaround that really doesn’t fit into today’s digital download model. While in a way, the “album” does feel a bit short, it definitely not lacking Shelton’s comedic side.
In the spirit of Shelton, if you don’t like this new format, or this album, then I’ll refer you the second track on “Hillbilly Bone”.
